Caspases activation is curial in apoptosis. T Caspase Screening Kit is an easy and sensitive way of detecting activated caspases in living cells. The assay utilizes the cleavage of (aspartyl)2-Rhodamine 110 (D₂R), a reported substrate for caspase. Once cleaved by cellular caspases, the non-fluorescent caspase substrate D₂R releases rhoamine 110 that emit fluorescence. It can be measured by excitation of 488 nm and 530 nm at excitation 488 nm/emission 530 nm.
