Apoptosis Inducer Kit
Apoptosis is a kind of programmed death that is common in organisms. The main characteristics of apoptosis are phosphatidylserine exposure on the external leaflet of the plasma membrane, activation of caspase enzyme, decreased mitochondrial membrane potential, genomic DNA fragmentation, and nuclear fragmentation.
Apoptosis Inducer Kit provides a reagent that mixes recombinant human TNF-α and SM-164 in a certain ratio, which can effectively induce apoptosis. Recombinant human TNF-α is a pro-inflammatory cytokine with multiple functions; while SM-164 is a bivalent mimetic of Smac, which can induce TNF-α dependent apoptosis. The reagent in this kit is a ready-to-use solution that can be used directly to induce apoptosis. For 6-well plates, using 2 mL of cell culture medium per well, the kit can be used for 100 samples; and for 96-well plates, using 200 μL of cell culture medium per well, the kit can be used for 1000 samples.
