Golgi-Tracker Green is a green-fluorescent probe that selectively labels Golgi of live cells. Golgi-Tracker Green is the BODIPY FL labeled C5-ceramide. Ceramide and its analogs can specially bind to Golgi. So fluorescent-labeled C5-ceramide (Golgi-Tracker Green) can label Golgi. Unlike conventional Golgi probe C-6 NBD Ceramide, Golgi-Tracker Green stains Golgi better and is more photostable. Golgi-Tracker Green stains live cells well but is not suitable for fixed cells.
